Once a thumb impression is obtained from a native, it is promptly handed over by the reader at the library. The library staff then proceeds to classify and index the palm-leaf bundles according to their corresponding thumb impressions. Generally, there are approximately 5 to 6 bundles in total, with each bundle containing anywhere between 50 to 100 leaves. Within this collection of leaves lies one particular leaf that belongs to the native individual in question. However, identifying this specific leaf entails an arduous and time-consuming process for the reader. They must meticulously read out a statement from each leaf starting with the first one; if it aligns with what is known about the native individual, they proceed to verify its accuracy by reading out a second statement. In case this second statement does not align with what is expected of or known about said individual, without delay, they move on swiftly to examine another leaf in search of an accurate match
